CANONBURY EX-AUTHORITY FLAT REFURBISHMENT

The client had recently purchased a 4 bedroom ex-authority flat in need of renovation. The brief was to modernise the flat, add value and take advantage of the south-facing aspect, while opening up the living area and kitchen to create a more social and homely space. We removed a partition wall and a structural wall, replaced by a steel beam, and added a curved wall to create a more organic and intuitive movement throughout the main space. We maximised light by adding a set of doors from the master bedroom towards the terrace. Another bathroom was introduced, working within the leaseholder's restrictions, to generate an ensuite for guests. Materials were carefully selected to achieve this natural and elegant result.
